Choice of Courses: 2-Year, 1-Year and 6-Month options

Descriptions of each course and class period are below. Each lesson is 45 minutes.
2-Year courses are designed for entering a college or a graduate college. 1-Year and 6-Month courses are designed for entering a college or a specialty school.

▶ 2 Year Course (The total class time: 1520 hours)

Ⅰ Basic Level

Class Subject Purpose Overview Total Class Time
Basic Japanese (5 days a week) You will be able to have daily conversations. Hiragana, Katakana, and easy conversations. 190 hours (19 weeks)
Kanji (3 days a week) You will be able to read and write kanji needed for living in Japan. By learning 300 characters of kanji, students will be comfortable using basic kanji. 57 hours (19 weeks)
Listening (3 days a week) You will be able to understand most conversations for living in Japan. This class offers an understanding of the contextual background of conversation, instead of just teaching the right way to answer questions. 57 hours (19 weeks)
Reading (2 days a week) You will be able to read sentences in simple letters and flyers. By reading sentences that have been previously learned, it will develop your basic reading skills. 38 hours (19 weeks)
Essay (2 days a week) You will be able to write about yourself, your hobby, your country and family in easy sentences. By using previously learned kanji and vocabulary, students will be comfortable writing sentences. 38 hours (19 weeks)

Ⅱ Intermediate Level

Class Subject Purpose Overview Total Class Time
Intermediate Japanese (5 days a week) You will be able to communicate with Japanese people about daily topics in everyday situations. The lessons focus on learning useful vocabulary, grammar, using Japanese phrases knowing your position in relationships, and writing about topics you know really well as well as course topics. 190 hours (19 weeks)
Grammar (4 days a week) You will be able to understand daily expressions. The proper grammar usage taught will be at the level needed to pass the JLPT N3 level exam, and you will be able to use them comfortably. 76 hours (19 weeks)
Kanji Vocabulary (2 days a week) You will be able to read and write daily kanji and vocabulary. You will learn the total of 600 characters of Kanji at JLPT N3 level and will be able to use them comfortably. 38 hours (19 weeks)
Listening (2 days a week) You will be able to understand the conversations used in school life, Shopping and everyday life as well as the background and the situations that occur in different relationships. 38 hours (19 weeks)
Reading (2 days a week) You will be able to read simple reports, Essays and guidances as well as understand a bit of an author or writer’s thoughts. 38 hours (19 weeks)

Grammar (4 days a week) You will be able to use grammar and phrases that are needed for living in Japan. Not only understanding the meanings of grammar, but the lessons focus on writing example sentences for specific situations. 76 hours (19 weeks)
Kanji Vocabulary (2 days a week) You will be able to read and write Kanji in everyday life and on books. You will learn 1200 Kanji words and 5000 vocabulary words in order to pass the JLPT N2 exam. 38 hours (19 weeks)
Listening (2 days a week) You will be able to listen and understand everyday life conversations, dramas, anime and weather forecasts. It will focus on understanding of relationships between people and the background behind it. 38 hours (19 weeks)
Reading (2 days a week) You will be able to read easy newspaper articles, novels, and essays. Not just tracking a line of sentences, but understanding what the writer or author intended will be focused on. 38 hours (19 weeks)

Grammar(4 days a week) You will be able to understand sentence patterns that frequently occur in newspapers,academic literature,editorial writings and so on. By studying the JLPTN1 level grammar,students acquire the abikity to deal with sentences of various genres. 76hours(19weeks)
Kanji Vocabulary(2days a week) You will be able to read and write frequently-used kanji in newspapers,academic literature,editorials,etc.. You will learn the total of 2,000 kanji words and 8,000 vocabulary words in order to pass the JLPT N1 exam. 38hours(19 weeks)
Listening(2days a week) You will be able to hear almost Japanese conversation by native speakers relationships between complicated characters, By touching the main teaching materials such as Tv,animation, news etc.. 38hours(19weeks)
Reading(2 days a week) You will be able to read advanced sentences such as newspapers and academic literature,editorials etc.. You will be able to understand advanced sentences in a short time and at the same time you will be able to acquire the ability to grasp the abstract. 38hours(19weeks)
